Green Smoothie Sensation

Lately, we've been on a Green Smoothie kick at our house. The kids love them because they are fruity and delicious. I love them because they taste wonderful and they are super easy to make and even more super good for me.  But the very best part is that I can load them with spinach and kale and no one is the wiser. Mom's have to be tricky at times.
We load ours up with bananas, Granny Smith apples, green grapes, vanilla yogurt, spinach or kale and sometimes blueberries (but then it's not so green anymore). D-E-LICIOUS!

A Valentine Sweet For My Sweets

When I was in elementary school I made my mom sign up to help with the Valentine's Day party every year because that meant she would make sugar cookies. She made sugar cookies a few other times during the year but for some reason those Valentine's cookies were always the best. Now I feel bad for making her do that much work but I know she loved me:)

Go here for a great tutorial to make some of your own Valentine's Day sugar cookie pops. Your kids will think you are the best mom ever!

Ranger Cookies

I Loooove these cookies. When you eat these cookies you can't figure out exactly what is in them that makes them so delicious. I load mine up with coconut, rice crispies, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, white chocolate chips, nuts, oats and whatever else I have on hand that looks yummy.

Here is the basic recipe. Mine is loaded and I think that's the only way to enjoy a true Ranger Cookie!

Merry Sushi Christmas!

We have a long-standing tradition of having sushi for our Christmas dinner. It started because we didn't feel like making a huge dinner and we were really sick of turkey and stuffing. So, we knew that the only restaurants open on Christmas day were typically Asian. Thus, the sushi tradition was born!

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and an amazing 2010!!!!!
